SLAT is the entrance test conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed University) to admit
students in the law program offered by the university at their institutes situated in 7 different
cities across India. It is mandatory to appear for SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) as a
precondition for admission to Symbiosis Law Schools.
Eligibility
The program eligibility varies in different cities, however, the student is eligible for the
overall intake if they have:
Passed XII (10+2) examination from any recognized Board
Have atleast 50% aggregate marks (General category)
Have atleast 45% aggregate marks (SC/ST/reserved categories)
A minimum of 50% is required for the candidates from General category.
Age: No age bar.

On declaration of the SLAT result SLS, will publish the list of shortlisted candidates who are
eligible for the PI-WAT process. This process will be conducted by the respective law schools.
PI-WAT (Personal Interaction and Writing Ability Test):
- PI (Personal Interaction) – 30 Marks.
- WAT (Writing Ability Test) – 20 Marks
This exam is usually held in May. The application process starts from March.
