All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is conducted by National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi)
for admission of undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and doctorate (PhD) level law
courses. This is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission in law programmes at
NLU Delhi only. It is one of the leading law universities in the country. Over the years it has
produced excellent lawyers, experts, academicians, researchers, entrepreneurs and civil
society workers.
NLU, New Delhi does not accept any other entrance exam score except AILET.
Total number of seats offered by NLU, Delhi are 83 but the number of candidates who appear
for this exam is around 18,000 - 20,000 whereas if we compare the number of seats with CLAT
then the competition level of AILET is quite high since the number of aspirants appear for
CLAT is around 50,000 for a total of 2,670 seats.
Eligibility
Educational: The candidate must be having a 10+2 from any recognized university or
equivalent and candidate appearing in 10+2 can also appear for the exam but needs to show
the final result at the time of admission.
A minimum of 50% is required for the candidates from General category.
Age: No age bar.

This exam is usually held in December. The application process starts from August.
